Optimal Focus Indicator

$80 (plus GST)

The purpose of the Optimal Focus Indicator is to help you identify your optimal flow of activity that is energising and sustainable. The indicator compares your optimal focus to the current focus you are bringing to your professional and personal life. This allows you to see how far away from your most effective approach you are.

The output you will be able to review includes:

1. Your optimal focus period

2. Your current focus period in your professional life

3. Your current focus period in your personal life (life outside of work).

4. The gap between your current style and your optimal.

Optimal Focus

In today’s fast-paced world we are inundated with distraction and a continually reinforced sense that we need to do more, fit more in and generally, be faster. For most of us, this increases stress, induces anxiety and can push us into a false belief that we can multitask, reaching for every productivity tool and hack in existence.

While neuroscience suggests the average optimal focus time is 40-45 mins – that’s average, and no two brains are created the same. Therefore, some people can focus for much longer, and others much shorter than average.

The ability to operate at an intensely fast pace without burnout (the ability to move from task to task quickly) is reserved for a small percentage. The majority of us are far more productive when we give longer focus periods to what we are doing.

The optimal focus indicator helps you to identify just how long that focus period is, in order for you to be highly productive, and perhaps more importantly, sustainable.

If we were able to remove any pressure from our lives, be it societal, professional, social or family, we would operate in periods of time that feel very aligned to best ourselves. We would not push through exhaustion or ignore the signs our minds and bodies give us that it may be time for a small break or rest. These signs are what indicate our optimal focus periods.

When we continuously push outside these boundaries of our optimal focus we drive ourselves into various versions of burnout largely due to overspending cognitive energy.

The report will show you your most aligned optimal focus periods as well as what you are currently doing today professionally and personally. It will also identify how far the gap (shift) is between your optimal and today’s rates; your propensity for burnout.
